Goldsithney - St Piran's Hall Playground

The Parish Council has taken over the management of the outdoor play area at St Piran's Hall and has installed some new equipment and refurbished the older equipment.  The area is also fenced in now.  It is a useful resource for supervised young children/grandchildren/visiting relatives.

Updated: Urgent - Please read

If anyone receives an email from Roz Quillan Chandler stating that she has sent you a PDF file via DropBox DO NOT OPEN OR CLICK ON ANY LINKS. It would appear her email address has been hacked.

Update:

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have changed my password and scanned my computer. Presumably I won't have to change my email address?  I'd much rather not.
Thanks
Roz

Warning From Parish Council

The Parish Council has been made aware of a potential scam as follows:

Some people locally have received calls claiming to be from a company which is working alongside BT to stop nuisance/unwanted calls. They are offering to send you a device in the post that plugs into the back of your phone and identifies and stops unwanted calls. After that, you are asked to provide your credit card details.

BT denies all knowledge of such a company or device, so please do not give out your address details or pass on your credit card details.

Wheal Charlotte 1861

Can anybody help with the following request;

Many thanks for your interesting and informative website about a very special place!
I was wondering if anyone would know any more information about mining in the immediate area ...in particular the disaster at Wheal Charlotte in 1861. I have searched extensively elsewhere on the internet and there is remarkably little information.

Any help gratefully received!
Many thanks
Joe
