The Perranaz at this year's Goldsithney Charter Fair

The Perranaz played a varied set at this year's Goldsithney Charter Fair.

The new line-up, Rosie, Tom, Bob, Ed, Annie, Crystal, Ben, Holly and James enjoyed the day, singing some old favourites as well as including bran new songs fresh from the recent charts.

They will be performing again in the village Wednesday 19th August, 7.30 outdoors at the Craft Centre.

Updated - Watch Out Thieves About!

It has been reported that a number of garages in the village were broken into last night. The thieves seem to be after gardening equipement. Police are investigating.

More on this as it comes in. Meanwhile make sure your garages/sheds are secure and be aware.

These thieves are also after 5 bar field gates, metal & wood.

A ladies cardigan was left at the Churchtown House tea garden on Open Gardens Day. It is a chunkyish knit with a patchwork effect on the front. The label says Damart and it is a denim blueish colour. If anyone has lost a cardigan, or knows of someone who has, call Pippa on 07812653348

Open Gardens Success

This was the seventh year that the Perranuthnoe Open Gardens events have been running. The weather was beautiful and people travelled from as far as Wadebridge to enjoy the hard work put into the beautiful gardens and the high quality refreshments.

A remarkable £2030.00 was raised which will be going towards the Church Room improvements.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the day's success. It doubtless took a lot of organisation, hard graft, teamwork and creativity to pull this off. I'm sure we would all like to say a big thank you to Yvonne, the Open Gardens team and all who supported them.

Yvonne also says thank you to the following people for donating raffle prizes:

Trevenna Cross Nursery, Victoria Inn, Village Crafts, Village Shop, Jenny the Hairdresser, Diana Purchas, Goldsithney Shop, Tim's Veg Stall and many villagers.

Also, for donations of food, thanks to Roskilly's, Tescos, Morrisons and some very generous villagers.

Perranuthnoe Gardens Open Day

Perranuthnoe Gardens Open Day in aid of the Church Room will be held on Sunday 6th June 11am - 5pm
