Perranuthnoe Covid-19 Village Updates

It has been pointed out on a post to Perrans Facebook page that people are still arriving to holiday lets or second homes in the village.

This is absolutely sickening and a totally disgraceful act by the people coming down and the holiday let owners themselves.

It is quite clear that the holiday let owners care nothing about the lives of the people of Perran or Cornwall, they only care about the money in their pockets.

Maybe we should name and shame them? And even go as far as refusing to work for them, cleaning, gardening etc. in the future?

Here is the text from the post to our Facebook page:

I am amazed by quite how many people are STILL arriving to holiday lets or second homes in the village. Also, I can't believe how many holiday let owners from out of the village who are still allowing bookings as early as next week trying to cash in on Easter! I can only assume these people are watching a different news channel and/or haven't listened to friends working on the front line for the NHS!

On a more positive note, it has been so lovely to see the Perran residents continue to help each other out and show the true value what is like to be part of a community and not just see the village as an investment opportunity.

And to those of you that think it is OK to bag your dog mess up and then throw it in the hedge, what on earth do you think you're doing!? This is NOT responsible dog ownership. If you are too ashamed to carry your bag of dog mess with you and dispose of it in the bins provided then maybe you shouldn't have a dog?

On another note, here's something to keep the old grey cells going. There are 39 Beatles song titles in this image, can you find them?

Stay home. Stay safe. Save Lives. Smile 😄
