Native Tree Planting

We have 2 more events - Fri 10th and Fri 17th December for native tree planting. Both sessions run 1-4pm at the farm and we ask that volunteers email me to reserve a spot (we welcome maximum of ten). We'll serve refreshments at 4pm and we ask that volunteers bring a spade, and wrap up warm.

We're planting for regenerative purposes - for biodiversity and for better protection for crops, including our agroforestry trial. Lucas will run the sessions and can share detailed information about our plans to regenerate this former mining site.

My email address is mark@trenowfields.co.uk

Thanks so much!

Mark

Help Needed In Perranuthnoe's Living Churchyard

The churchyard has now had its annual cut

Volunteers are needed to help rake up the cut grass to help reduce the fertility so wild flowers will thrive.

Please come when you can and rake into piles.

These can be collected into one large heap.

If enough people come to help, each helper need only do a small area.

Come when you can.

Wheel barrows and rakes needed.

Many Hands make light work!

THANKYOU

Perran Now Has Extra Parking!

The long awaited extra parking is now ready and the Paddock Car Park has opened. Hopefully this will ease the congestion around the village streets in this busy summer tourist season and benefit local residents.

Do pop in and say hello to Peter a car park veteran and a qualified first aid responder. Peter will be supervising the car park for this pilot project.

With thanks to Ben Ridgwell and the Rigewells ltd team, who have done a cracking job, sensitively improving the entrances.

There will be free Blue Badge parking beside the foot entrance and five free spots available each day for local families with children.

We do hope that this will be a success for the village.

Update on Tortoise Shell Cat

After days of trying to take up residence in Greeb Way and having disagreements with our cat we succumbed to feeding this starving cat. This morning I took her to Rosevean Vets to see if she had been chipped. She did have a chip but surprisingly not registered. Rosevean will keep her to see if somebody claims her but if nobody comes forward she will go to the Cat Protection Society.

Tortoise Shell Cat

Over the weekend a mid-size dark tortoise shell cat has been on our drive and garden at ‘Coastview’, seeming quite unsettled and timid, but staying in the area. We are wondering if she is lost and hence is anyone may know of her home or be interested in her whereabouts?

Please give me a call if you have any more information or may be able to help, thank you.
