Cottage Available During School Holidays

Kernyk Cottage has three weeks available during the school holidays.

The available weeks are: 21st July 2018, 28th July 2018 and 11th August 2018.

The cottage sleeps three (1 king size bed and 1 single bed) and a "no pets" and "no smoking" policy.

The next meeting dates are Monday April 30th, May 21st, June 11th and July 2nd (then it's the summer break), 7pm - 9pm at the Church Room, Perranuthnoe.

Lent Lunch

CHICKS - Cornwall Holidays for Inner City Kids at their centre in St Austell, which our rector Nigel stopped to visit when he passed during his pilgrimage walk through Cornwall. This centre provides holidays for children from cities and towns, including Penzance.
Also, Graham and Natalie Thomas who ran the Alive childrens' group in St. Piran's Hall, now working alongside Pastor Abraham who, having built a school in a poor area of Cambodia, now provides lunches for around 200 children and also Colin & Audrey Gibson working for the Christian Mission Society whom we sponsor with their work helping refugees in the Lebanon. We will be welcoming Colin and Audrey here in the summer to talk about their work.

The lunches are held in the Church Room on Thursdays between 12 and 2. Suggested donation is £5 for fresh homemade soup and bread, coffee and cake. All most welcome to come along.

Malicious Vandalism

Sadly there was some malicious vandalism over the festive period to the little stone figure which is part of the new wall built at Sea Green opposite the cemetery gates.

Alistair was shocked and saddened to see it on returning from being away visiting family at Christmas. He said, it looks as though someone has beaten the stone figure with a stick. He thought at first maybe kids were playing with stones, but that’s not characteristic of dear Perran and there are no ricochet stone marks.

He just can’t understand why it happened and wondered if anyone knows anything as well as wanting to bring it to people's attention in case it happens elsewhere again.

It has been reported the police.

Perranuthnoe Christmas Tree

This years Christmas festivities start in Perranuthnoe at

7pm on Friday 15th December

Our tree will be lit, carols will be sung, mince pies and sausage rolls will be eaten and we will have a very special visitor....Father Christmas will be bringing gifts for all the younger children in the village.
