Marazion Surgery

* IMPORTANT - Please share *

There appears to be a post circulating on social media in regard to contacting your GP for an ‘emergency pack or rescue pack’ if you suffer with either COPD or asthma, which contains antibiotics and steroids.

The post is inaccurate and dangerous. GP surgeries are not routinely offering these 'emergency packs'. If we do so, the system will collapse and we would be unable to cope with the level of demand it would create. We will run out of essential medication for those who truly need it.

Please could patients request their regular medication as normal.

If people are well, they must not request 'emergency/rescue packs'.

If unwell, contact your surgery to receive a telephone ring back from a GP who can make a clinical decision as to whether these treatments are appropriate.

If you think you are showing signs and symptoms of coronavirus (raised temperature and/or a new continuous cough) please self-isolate, and contact NHS 111 online.

Please help us keep the NHS going - don’t share misinformation.

Community meeting

Following the community meeting at the Victoria Inn on the 13th January all who gave their contact details should have received an email summary. If not please check your spam folder. If you would like to be added to the mailing list please contact Peter Linton at perrancomms@gmail.com.

The next meeting will be on Monday 27th January at 5pm in the Victoria Inn and will be specifically to discuss traffic and parking. Maps of the current parking restrictions are available from Yvonne Groves (in her mail box, outside The Lodge). Your feedback is welcomed, preferably in advance of the meeting by email or Yvonne’s mail box.

Bill Gammer RIP

I have been asked by Christine, to pass on the sad news that Bill (Gammer) passed away peacefully on Sunday evening 25th November. The funeral will be held at St Piran and St Michael’s Church, Perranuthnoe, on Friday 14th December at 10.30 am, afterwards at the Victoria Inn. No flowers please, donations, should you wish, to Cornwall Hospice Care.

Christine would like all neighbours, friends and the community of Perranuthnoe to feel welcome to attend and to join her and the family at the Victoria Inn afterwards, in a celebration of Bill’s life!

Perranuthnoe Christmas Tree

This years Christmas festivities start in Perranuthnoe at

7pm on Friday 15th December

Our tree will be lit, carols will be sung, mince pies and sausage rolls will be eaten and we will have a very special visitor....Father Christmas will be bringing gifts for all the younger children in the village.

Perranuthnoe Calandar 2017

Perranuthnoe Calendars 2017 are now available here in Perranuthnoe at The Cabin Beach Cafe and The Victoria Inn at a cost of £7.00.

Fund. If you would like one to be posted to you then the cost will be £8.27 including envelope & postage. Message me and I can give you the PayPal address - will need you to send me the postal address for the calendar email me on perranuthnoe-calendar@outlook.com
The postage has now been reduced as the new envelopes I've just received are slightly lighter - result!

Not as many calendars available as previous years so when they're gone they're gone and this will be the last year they are available as it's getting increasingly difficult and more expensive.
