Village Defibrillators

We have raised over £500 so far towards the possible purchase of a 2nd defibrillator for Perranuthnoe (the first defibrillator, supplied by the Parish Council was installed last week outside the Victoria Inn)  It has been suggested that it would be a good idea to site a 2nd device near the beach at The Cabin.  We need to form a committee/group to push the project on further and a volunteer to manage the project.  I am holding the funds at present, £143 raised at the Craft Fayre lunch, £280 from Anna and Stewart from quiz money and a further £110 from recent quizzes.

Defibrillators & Training

As you may know, the Parish Council is installing 3 defibrillators in the Parish and one is planned for outside the Vic in our village.  (The others will be outside The Crown in Goldsithney and outside the Falmouth Packet).  The Parish Council will also fund training in how to use the defibrillator for up to 10 Perran residents or people working in our village.  If more people would like to be trained in how to use the defibrillator, the training course is available for a bargain price of £15 per person.  Please sign up, as this is a very valuable piece of equipment which can save lives.

If you would like to volunteer or pay for defibrillator training, please contact Theresa on 711516.

Meanwhile, the village is continuing to raise funds for a second defibrillator to be located near the beach.

Perranuthnoe Christmas Tree 2014

Our Christmas tree will once again be in the village for all to see and will be lit on Friday 12th December.

The approximate schedule of events is: -

7.00 pm. The tree will be blessed and illuminated and the carols begin. We hope that everyone will join in the carol singing (bring a torch to light up your hymn sheet).

7.15 pm. Father Christmas will arrive with a gift for all village children (under the age of twelve).

Hot sausage rolls and mince pies will be handed around during the carols followed by punch, made to a secret recipe especially for the occasion at the Victoria Inn (courtesy of Stewart & Anna).

Could we please ask for donations of a dozen sausage rolls and/or mince pies, which will be handed round at the above event.

If you are able to contribute please fill in the slip at the bottom of this page and return it to Andrea at The Old Post Office by 1st December.

Place your contribution in the box located in the garden of An Gwythow (Diane Hutchinson) on Friday 12th December.

We will be having a 'bottle' tombola (donations of prizes - anything in a bottle, from wine to shampoo!! - would be most welcome)
