According to the BBC an unusual tidal surge was noticed on Monday 27th June in Cornwall and Devon. Among the places it was particularly noticeable was St Michael's Mount, did anyone here experience it?

Has Anyone Found A Straw Hat?
About 10 days ago, whilst on holiday in Cornwall, I lost my favourite straw hat (in a John Lewis carrier bag) somewhere in the Perranuthnoe area.
Has anyone seen this item - if so perhaps they could kindly email me mike.ackroyd@talktalk.net
Thank you

New Look For Perran's News Page
Hello everyone, it's been ages since I updated the look of the Perranuthnoe site so I thought it about time that I did just that.
The problem was, where to start! I decided on the Village News page as it's the page that most locals visit regularly and it's your opinion I am most interested in at the moment.
There is a voting poll to the right underneath the Facebook badge, please cast your vote to let me know whether I am heading in the right direction or not , no information will be gathered about you.
Please feel free to add your comments below, anonymously is fine I just want your feed back on the new look News Page along with any thoughts you have on what should or should not be included in the future for the whole site in general.
This is a village website and I want it to be useful to everyone, this is your chance to get your opinions in.
Thank you for your time
Kay

Is the new(ish) electric fence okay?
Hi everyone,
We regular dogwalk up near Ednovean farm and we are very concerned about the electric fence which has been placed right next to the diverted public right of way. There are only 2 warnings - one at each end of the fence and a child could easily miss them. Also, the right of way is quite narrow - not good if people walking in opposite directions meet.
Can anyone advise: is it allowed to have such a fence so close to a public path? If yes, shouldn't the labelling be better?
Is there someone we can complain to officially? I am very worried that a child may get a nasty shock up there through no fault of its own; just because they want to say hello to the horses and/or run ahead of their party.other: Is the new(ish) electric fence okay?
