Everyone needs to know what is going on and where they can get help and support from locally if they need it. There have been lots of post and information popping up on Facebook but not everyone has Facebook. For that reason the village website will now be updated as and when new information becomes available.
The updates will be posted here on the Village News Page as well as going out via Facebook, Twitter and email to those that subscribe to the newsletter. The newsletter sends daily at 6PM if new posts have been added. If you would like to receive email updates you can sign up by clicking here.
Now on with a roundup of the news so far. (For those that do have Facebook a link to the relevant pages has been provided below each offer.)
If you are local please DO NOT travel to other parts of Cornwall. Stay local to your area. Stay Home. Stay safe. Social distance. Social distance. Social distance.
Accommodation
The accommodation page of the village website has been taken down for the time being.
We DO NOT want to encourage visitors to our county and village. We need to keep people safe and stop the spread of the virus. It's becoming clear that people are just not listening and some are still planning to come to Cornwall. If you own any form of accommodation in Perranuthnoe or Cornwall please cancel your bookings and close your accommodation for the time being. It's completely understandable that people need to make a living but this is for the greater good. These are unprecedented times and we all need to do our bit. This is war although we can't see our enemy. Somethings are much more important than money. Your country needs you. The world needs you.
Help And Support
Telephone Tree
Yvonne is our main village point of contact - please call her if you wish to request help or if you can offer help to others. Ideally we would like everyone to provide Yvonne with their phone numbers so that we can set up a "telephone tree". We are especially keen to hear from anyone living alone or feeling vulnerable as well as those who are primary carers for someone else. Please don't knock on Yvonne's door as she is social distancing! 01736 710070.
Covid-19 mutual aid Perranuthnoe
A Covid-19 help page has been set up on Facebook giving current status of meals, prescriptions, banking, groceries, gardening supplies, helplines & other info.

The Cabin Beach Cafe
As our customers are aware we have a takeaway counter at the cabin. This will continue to be open Monday to Friday 10-4, Saturday and Sunday 9:30-4. Our usual menu will be available for takeaway but this may vary depending on availability of ingredients.
New Frozen Meal Range:
Menu will be advertised on boards at the cabin and on this Facebook page. These meals are all freshly prepared by our chefs at the cabin and then frozen on the same day. You can order and collect at our takeaway hatch or phone your order in (01736711733) and then collect at our takeaway counter. Please pay by contactless or over the phone where possible to avoid cash handling.
Delivery Service:
Aimed specifically at our more vulnerable residents who live in the Perranuthnoe/Goldsithney area.
You can order and pay over the phone.
You can send someone to collect if you have someone that can do this for you.
They can pay by contactless or cash on collection if you can’t pay over the phone.
If no one can collect your order we can deliver it to you. Again you can pay over the phone or if you cant do this you can pay cash on delivery if absolutely necessary.
