Perranuthnoe Covid-19 Village Updates

Thought it would be nice to share with you all a lovely message from Yvonne:

Hi there, a few thoughts for today, we are so fortunate to live in such a wonderful community.

The Perran Tree seems to be working well, with lots of help being offered and used.

I feel it is so important to support everybody, especially people who will, no doubt, be under extreme stress, so I guess we should be even more tolerant than usual.

I understand that the police have been stopping drivers on the Marazion bypass and today visited the village to keep their eyes on things for us.

If we handle this situation with love and tolerance we will all come through this dreadful situation with a village even more connected than before.

My love to you all. Yvonne 710070.  Anybody needing a chat - ring me.

Stay home. Stay safe. Save Lives.

A message from Newquay Police:

The Victoria Inn

The show must go on!

Thank you all so much for your patience. What started life as a simple idea to help the village has had a few logistical spanner’s thrown into the mix this past week!

We have now made a plan that shouldn’t change (unless the government make calls that squash our pop up shop totally). We want to help as much as we can, but we have to do so it a sensible way. By this we mean not ordering loads of produce in and hoping it all sells. We also have to exercise great caution, protecting ourselves and you, the customers. We also have limited staff volunteering to run the shop... thanks Olli & Sophie! The shop will be open (initially) Wednesdays and Saturdays.

So here’s our plan!

We request you pre order the supplies you would like. This can be done via facebook messenger or email. Your pre order must be with us before 3pm on Tuesday or Friday and can be collected between 11am & 1pm on Wednesday or Saturday.

Although we urge people to try and collect you pre orders from us at the Victoria inn so payment is as ‘risk free’ as possible, we can offer delivery to those who really need it. This will be cash on collection and we ask the correct amount of money is put in an envelope or something similar and left in the in agreed drop off/pick up point.

We strongly encourage cashless payment. Card payments can be made at a safe distance on collection. Cash will only be accepted as a last resort and we really don’t want to be collecting cash for obvious reasons!

We can source other things you may want/need too within reason. Please drop us a message with your pre order and we’ll see what we can do!

The Victoria Inn and the community it serves is family as far as we’re concerned! We don’t expect anything in return for our services and wish everyone to stay safe and healthy! We do however feel strongly about supporting the NHS. They are well and truly up to their eyeballs working night and day through this madness and their heroism seems to be constantly brushed under the carpet...

So, let’s give something back to the unsung heroes of this country. Click the link at the bottom of the page to donate 🙂

We hope this all makes sense and thank you for baring with us.

For pre orders or and questions please email or message us on our Facebook page.

Stay safe folks & stay classy

Team Vic
